Studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Obtained his diploma with the Rector's Medal in 1988. Recipient of scholarships from the Silesia-Dąbrowa Independent Culture Committee for his artistic debut (1988); Ministry of Culture and Art (1989, 1999); The Pollock-Krasner Foundation (1994); International Graphics Center Frans Masereel Center (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997). Winner of honorable mention of the Polish-Finnish Marine Competition, Gdansk (1987); 2nd Prize of the Polish-French Printemps Culturel du Valenciennois Poster Competition, Valenciennes, France (1988); honorable mention of the 4th World Exhibition of Miniature Art, Toronto, Canada (1989); Honorable Mention of the 1st International Triennial of Small Forms Graphic Art, Riga, Latvia (1990); Honorable Mention of the World Triennial of Small Forms Graphic Art, Chamalieres, France (1991); Regulation Prize of the 4th International Triennial of Graphic Art, Ourense Spain (1998); Third Prize of the 10th National Graphic Art Review.
