Most likely painted is a B-54 type general cargo ship, which belonged to a series of ships built at the Gdansk Shipyard, produced from 1955 to the late 1960s. The ships were a very successful design hence, half of them were exported. The launching of the prototype "Marceli Nowotko" on November 15, 1955 was an extraordinary event in the country - comparable to the launching of "Soldek."
