Literature
In 1966, he graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Częstochowa. Initially engaged in applied graphics, then devoted himself to painting, improving on his own. In 1979 he became a member of the Association of Polish Artists. In his paintings, he referred to the Dutch masters' still lifes of the 17th century, giving his paintings a mood of magical realism. He also painted portraits. He participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad, including: in Japan, Monaco, Austria, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and the United States. In 1987 he became a member of the European Academy of Art, Science and Literature in Paris. Marian Michalik died tragically in a car accident, at the age of just 50. In 2001, a prize named after him was founded in Czestochowa for young Polish painters.
Biography
Graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Częstochowa (1989). Son and student of painter Marian Michalik, continuing the trend of painting represented by the work of his father. Associated with the art group "PŁAWNA 9". The artist's works are in private collections at home and abroad.
