Biography
Graduated in 2014 in the studio of Dr. Dominik Lejman at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing of the University of Arts in Poznan. Her thesis was nominated for the 34th edition of the Maria Dokowicz Competition - Best Diplomas of UAP. In the same year, she received the main prize in the national painting competition New Image / New Look. In 2016, she won the Award of the Mayor of the City of Wroclaw in the 12th edition of the nationwide Geppert Competition for 'credibility and vigilance towards history'. She won the Young Art Medal in Visual Arts in 2017 and the 3rd prize at the 11th Triennial of Small Painting Forms in Torun in 2019. Her painting is engaged and critical without becoming one-dimensional journalism. Kannunikava's art remains multidimensional and universal in its relationship to the human condition and History. Her works are in private collections in Poland and abroad, as well as in the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. She lives and works in Poznan and Minsk, Belarus.
