Daniel Jerzy de Tramécourt - painter, printmaker, sculptor, illustrator. Born in 1950 in Lublin, died on January 27, 2015 in Lodz, Poland, he attended an art high school, later studied painting individually, and even earned the professional qualification of a visual artist granted by a commission from the Ministry of Culture and Art. In 1997-1998 he was a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Culture and Art. He worked with a puppet theater in Szczecin, traces of which can be found in his later work. He lived in Paris for several years, where he became fascinated with Giacometti's work. After returning to Poland, he settled in Kazimierz Dolny, where he became an important figure and animator of artistic life. He established his art gallery in the city, and also co-founded the Kazimierska Konfraternia Sztuki. Kazimierz often reappeared in his works - the town itself, the local Vistula landscapes, but also his characters - especially women.
