Emilia Gąsienica-Setlak (born 1986 in Zakopane)
Graduate of the A. Kenar School of Fine Arts in Zakopane, 2005. Studied in the studios of Prof. Teresa Kotkowska-Rzepecka and Prof. Leszek Misiak at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She received her diploma with a graphic annex in the woodcut studio of Prof. Bogdan Miga in 2011. She works in painting and printmaking. The merit of her artistic interests are color, synthetic composition and their relationship with the environment. Her works illustrate the covers of the books by Svetoslav Minkov "Impure Force" (Publishers "Scriptum", 2005), "Water Names of the Vistula River Basin" by Dr. Urszula Bijak (Institute of Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences, 2013) and were featured on the cover of the prestigious "Women In Art 278 Magazine", 2014. They also participated in the shooting of the Spanish-American feature film "Embers" directed by Claire Carre, 2014. She is the author of fourteen solo exhibitions and participant in dozens of group exhibitions. The artist's works are in Polish and Hungarian museum collections and private collections in Poland, France, Italy, Spain and the UK.
