Painter born in Nowy Sacz, for most of his life associated with Limanowa. He studied in Aleksander Mroczkowski's studio in Cracow, supplemented his education in Vienna and Munich. During the First War he fought in the Austro-Hungarian army and was taken prisoner by the Russians. After the end of the First War, he returned to Limanowa and took up painting, and was also a photographer. He mainly used oil technique. The subjects of his works were landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and religious scenes.
