Fritz MÖRITZ

In his early youth he worked as a decorator. From 1941 he was at the front; he lost a leg in the fighting for Berlin. After the war, he completed a course in graphic design and then studied in Düsseldorf. He traveled extensively, visiting, among others, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Italy and Spain. He painted genre paintings; including both costumed ladies and women busy with their daily work. He also painted landscapes, wild animals and birds, and hunting scenes, referring to the work of Hugo Mühlig.
