About the work: Iga Święcicka (1967), Ampoules of Reciprocity, oil on canvas, 115 x65 cm, 2023, frame: beech frame, waxed, oil painting on canvas, back: signature Iga Święcicka 2023 The painting, in addition to its outstanding aesthetic qualities, has a conceptual context. The contemplative nature of the representation is part of the broad current of oil painting of abstraction of the 20th and 21st centuries. Both the aesthetic and artistic dimensions, including the meticulous painting technique, are complemented by the contemplative and meditative value, calming and relaxing through contact with the work of art. The work begins a new series of paintings by the artist set in the currents of existential philosophy. An investment object with an upward trend. Koscielak Gallery's fall auction is the first public showing of this work.

Iga Swiecicka (1967) painter, doctor of art. She is also active as a curator. She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts at UJK in Kielce. In 2009 she received a diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Urszula Ślusarczyk and Prof. Ewa Pełka. She is the author of the concepts of Internal Form and Active Form. She pursued her doctoral dissertation under the direction of Prof. Ryszard Lugowski in 2019. She lives and works in Warsaw. She has collaborated with the Vertical Dimension of Culture Foundation and the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She has participated in conferences and panel discussions, including the International Conference Homo Spiritualis XX, XXI w. - Collegium Maius UMK Torun. Author of more than 50 solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, including France, Italy, Argentina, Canada, USA, Ukraine. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The artist is part of the conceptual art trend, building her own theoretical concepts and ideological assumptions. Her creative strategy assumes that art results from an internal need. Iga Swiecicka's paintings are painterly haiku, a concise language of information. They are not a vision of a symbol but rather synonyms of words and concepts. The starting point is the canon and frame, i.e. the simplest geometric figures. The author builds space in depth, calling it Inner Form, while the concept of Active Form is a work whose primacy is contained in the process. She treats painting as an expression of cognition. Searching for this proper form, he uses his own alphabet of shape and color, and expresses content previously spoken in prose. He says of his work: "the recipe for my art is tradition, the classics of form, and the spice is emotion." The artist's works can be found in museum and private art collections.
