Lipowczan Jacek "Let's fly to a better World".
50x70 (in frame 70x90), oil on board, 2020
The artist was born in Istebna in Cieszyn Silesia. He was infected with painting and drawing by his father - an architect. After graduating from high school, he took up studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where in 1976 he received his diploma in the Department of Graphics under Professor Mieczyslaw Wejman. In the early days of his artistic activity, he was more interested in drawing than painting - the effect of this fascination can be auctioned off.
In the past, while working in the team of Kazimierz Kutz, as an assistant stage designer, he came into contact with the works and scenographic designs of Andrzej Majewski. The fairy-tale works of this artist strongly influenced the formation of Jacek Lipowczan's work and fairy-tale painting imagination. The technique he chose is very labor-intensive, requiring time, patience and perfection. Therefore, the cycle of painting one picture lasts from four to six weeks, that's why he usually paints two paintings at the same time.
In 1981 Lipowczan emigrated from Poland, originally to Sweden then to Australia. In Sydney, at the American Cartoon Film Studio ""Hanna Barbera"", he designed scenes for various films. After moving from the distant continent to Europe, specifically to Germany, Lipowczan worked as a graphic designer, Art Direktor and illustrator in publishing houses and advertising agencies - he suspended painting for a few years, but in 2004 decided to deal with it exclusively. He decided to use the experience he has gathered over the years, as he says - ""batteries charged over the years"".
The artist creates a very individual expression of his imagination, his own ""magical"" style of associations. Jack's painting style can be described as sureistic-fantastic realism. In spite of today's art, in which avant-garde chases avant-garde, the group of artists painting in a similar style is growing every year. Lipowczan joined them and became a member of an international association - the Society of Art of Imagination in London, whose honorary patron is the well-known Austrian surrealist Prof. Ernst Fuchs.
For several years he has also been a member of Bundesverband Bildender Künstler Köln e.V and Syrlin Kunstverein International e.V Stuttgart. Since 2004, Jacek Lipowczan has taken an active part in artistic life. He has presented his works at exhibitions in art galleries and auction houses in Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Italy, Denmark and the USA. The works of this highly acclaimed artist please the eye of connoisseurs from all over the world."
