Studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1981 he received a diploma in the Copperplate Studio of Prof. M. Wejman; painting in the studio of Prof. J. Świderski. From 1981-89 he worked as an assistant at his alma mater. He cultivates painting, printmaking and drawing. He has won awards and prizes at the Mulhouse Biennial of Graphics (1984), the International Exhibition of Miniature Art in Toronto (1986), Graphica Atlantica in Reykjavik (1987), the Vaasa Biennial of Graphics (1987), the Grand Prix at the Seoul Biennial of Graphics (1988), the I. Trybowski Award at the International Triennial of Graphics in Cracow (1994), among others. In 2001, he was awarded the W. Wojtkiewicz Prize by the Cracow branch of the ZPAP for the most interesting individual exhibition presented in Cracow. As one of the few Krakow artists, since the 1980s, he has contributed to the image of the Neo-Expressionist trend in Poland. He paints in a characteristically simplified manner, sharply defining colors and shapes, often exaggerating them towards a caricatured treatment of figures and situations.
