Biography
Jagoda Dobecka graduated from the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw at the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture. She is currently a student at the Doctoral School at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She creates primarily painting and widely understood sculpture. Through her art, she addresses issues related to socio-cultural gender perception, systemic exploitation and the use of care as a tool to fight oppression. Dobecka's works have been presented many times, including: at the Out of Sth Outdoor Art Biennale in Wroclaw, the Open Triennale in Oronsko, the Survival Contemporary Art Review in Wroclaw, the Geppert Competition, and the Matter of Art Biennale in Prague. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Mayor of Wroclaw.
