Jan Kulikowski (1914-1995), studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under professors Mieczyslaw Kotarbinski and Felicjan Szczęsny Kowarski. He received his diploma in 1939. From 1946 he participated in national exhibitions (including the Second National Exhibition of Fine Arts, Warsaw 1952). He usually presented drawings and posters at them. He was also involved in painting, printmaking and applied graphics, and marginally in sculpture. He was known mainly as a member of the artistic community of Bydgoszcz, and his work is represented in the District Museum there and in other public and private collections.
