Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he founded the "Rekonesans" group with his fellow students in 1963. Initially influenced by informel painting, then pop art. He evolved from gestural painting and abstract colorism to geometric abstraction and visualism. He painted abstract paintings with a palpable objectivity and surreal character. His paintings from his mature period are characterized by luminous color and rhythmic structure. In 1971, he was awarded the C.K. Norwid critics' prize.
