A military motif typical of the artist's work - here a four-horse cavalry scout riding out from among the trees into a vast, snow-covered space. The silhouettes of the riders are drawn against the background of green pines. The author focuses on rendering the horse at a gallop and the rider leading the others, with his usual lightness and skill in rendering the movement and silhouette of the horse and the characterizing details of the rider's uniform. On the reverse - sticker with the red stamp of the Desa magazine and written in ink numbers, description and title of the work and date: "Kraków 16. VI. 952".
