Jerzy Treit (born 1969 in Opole) - Polish painter, sculptor, art historian, curator; creator of "Gallery 1" in Lublin. He does painting, drawing, computer graphics and sculpture, and is also a blogger, columnist and poet. He is a member of the Association of Polish Pastelists.
He is a graduate of the A. Kenar PLSP in Zakopane. In 1991 he took up studies in art history at the Catholic University in Lublin. There he founded GALLERY 1, where such artists as Tadeusz Kulisiewicz, Stanislaw Rodziński, Rafal Olbinski and Picasso's friend Nejad Devrim exhibited. In 1992 he went to Paris on an art scholarship, funded by the American Eva Aeppli Foundation. He founded the Gallery in the Province, near Myslenice, where artists such as Cracow Academy of Fine Arts professor Jacek Sroka and renowned composer Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz have exhibited.
He designs functional art objects and draws his own original paper. He publishes his writings, among others, in the pages of the online Your News. His works can be found in private collections around the world: in France, Germany, Turkey, Belgium, Switzerland, the USA and Poland. Since 2012, he has been a member of the interdisciplinary art group Młodzi Sztuką, operating at the Association of Polish Artists Warsaw District. Since 2013, he has been under the Artistic/Media Patronage - Artistic Guarantee of Art Imperium.
In March 2013, under the Patronage of Art Imperium and in cooperation with the publishing house poecipolscy.pl, he published his first book entitled "Scent of cinnamon in orange paint" - author's reflections illustrated with his own paintings and drawings, the premiere of which took place during the opening of the painting exhibition.
Served as Director of the Municipal Cultural Center in Pcim (since 2003). Co-organizer of the International Artistic Workshops for young people, artists and disabled people " Open Doors". Creator of "Na Prowincji" gallery. The artist lives and works in France and since 2017 in Warsaw.
