Asian artist living in New York. Her works are inspired by her Zen studies and her life experiences living in China and the United States. Jianxia Liu has received international accolades for her works, including being awarded the "Most Outstanding Asian Artists" award in the United States in 2011, and receiving the Green Card for "Aliens with Extraordinary Abilities" (EB-1A) in the United States in 2012. Exhibitions of her work have been held in the United States, as well as abroad: Amsterdam, London, Berlin. Jianxia Liu's works are in the collections of Bill Clinton and Mimi Gates. The painting depicting the Bodhisattva was made using the artist's own technique, in which she uses aged paper glued on canvas, aged to resemble ancient frescoes in Buddhist temples.
