The artist was born in Pulawy in 1982. In 2005 she received a diploma from the School of Art and Design in Lodz, Poland, majoring in Interior Design. She has always felt the need to create. She tried her hand at many artistic fields, but it was painting that became her great passion. After a break of many years, she returned to painting in 2018. Since then, many paintings have been created and are in private collections. The artist is still searching for her path and developing herself creatively. She takes part in painting workshops and learns new techniques. She creates mainly in oil and acrylic techniques. She is inspired by nature and people. Her favorite subject of her works is the sea, which, as she says, is a respite for her and even when agitated soothes her soul. The second subject she enjoys is women. She is inspired by their strength and independence. Joanna Komorek's paintings give the viewer space for her own interpretation, to find in them something of her own, to filter through her own experiences.
