Lech Bator was born in 1986. He has been designing and creating from an early age. He was educated at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw, where he had the opportunity to hone his skills under the tutelage of prominent Polish artists such as Franciszek Starowieyski and Antoni Fałat. In 2010, he completed his education in graphic design. Although he was initially passionate about graphic forms, it was soon the canvas and paint that became his means of expression. This artist's painting is derived from graphic design - Lech Bator creates painterly collages made on canvas, juxtaposes realistic landscapes with unrealistic figures of half people - half animals.
He likes to play with conventions, deceive the viewer, intrigue. He uses universally recognizable symbols, and is also fond of comics and graffiti. He often repeats the motif of a deer at a roar. This symbol of painterly kitsch in this artist is placed in unreal space. The specific figures in his works seem familiar, and the muted colors of his canvases evoke nostalgia and build an oneiric mood.
