Michał Kwarciak (born 1983), a graduate of the Opus Art Post-Secondary Vocational School in Sosnowiec, majoring in stained glass, and studying easel painting and painting in architecture and urbanism at the Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa (diploma completed under the direction of Prof. Jarosław Kweclich).
Michal Kwarciak is a participant in several plein-air painting workshops in Poland and abroad. He has presented his paintings at dozens of collective and several individual exhibitions.
He lives and works in the heart of the Krakow-Czestochowa Jurassic, i.e. in Chlin.
In his paintings, Michal Kwarciak creates a separate world from the borderland between java and dream, or reality and imagination. His works are as if out of context, capturing a moment that we are just dreaming or imagining, a kind of fantasy projection. In this peculiar subject, the artist is trying to find his own style, an individual path, and is looking for an idea to constantly develop.
Inspiration comes from legends, fairy tales told to his own children, fairy tales, invented on the spot, everyday experiences, family life, environment.
