Biography
Visual artist and academic teacher living in Warsaw. He runs the Studio of Painting and Drawing at the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He specializes in painting, screen printing, and creates visuals for contemporary music concerts (which he has presented at the Podlasie Philharmonic Hall, Szczecin Philharmonic Hall, New Theater, Pardon To Tu, Jewish Historical Institute, Polin Museum, among others). From 2012 to 2014, he co-founded the Warsaw artists' gallery Praca, where he was involved in organizing "Free Flights," a cyclical event that allows visual artists and musicians to collaborate. He occasionally works in poster design and illustration. He received an IBBY honorable mention for his illustrations of poems from the volume "Naive Poems" by Czeslaw Milosz. He has shown his paintings in dozens of group exhibitions, as well as in more than a dozen solo exhibitions, at home and abroad. In 2018, he was the recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In 2019, at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he defended his doctoral thesis "Atlas as a collection and a journey."
