60x40, acrylic on panel, 2023
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (formerly PWSST in Wroclaw) in the Department of Architectural Painting. Member of ZPAP. She has been drawing and painting since early childhood, inspired by German albums on Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque art, the only books she had contact with after the war. In her early youth, her artistic ideal was the work of Rembrandt - it moved her to the depths, and in time she discovered Turner. Currently, she draws inspiration from the Pentateuch and the entire Jewish tradition, as well as mindfulness. According to the artist, it is impossible to inscribe her
paintings into a specific trend, but the term used by critic Andrzej Osęka in 1967 - magic realism - suits her. In her painting, which she primarily deals with, she has always focused on man and the drama of his existence. But she is also close to theater, especially that derived from Grotowski's method. Since its inception, she has collaborated with the Gardzienice Theater Practices Center and Song of the Goat Theater. She feels most honored in her life by being invited to participate in Marek Roztworowski's exhibition "Poles Own Portrait" in 1979, and considers the solo exhibition "Through the Holy Land to the Promised Land" in Jerusalem in 1989 as the most significant event in her artistic and spiritual life. He considers his best work to be the series of paintings Calendar of Remembrance based on Bruno Schulz first shown at La Mamma Theater in New York for the play Republic of Dream.
