Oleksandr Serdiuk - painter, graphic artist. He was born on November 7, 1982 in Kharkov. He graduated from the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Art (2002-2008). Since 2014 he has been teaching drawing at the Department of Graphic Design at the Kharkiv State Academy of Art and Design. One of the most important contemporary representatives of the Kharkiv School of Fine Arts. He creates characteristic, intense figurative painting, inspired by the history and national traditions of Ukraine, but also by his own experiences. Using allegory, enriching the visual zone with a philosophical layer, the artist transforms a simple record of history - his own or his country's - into expressive "frescoes", full of new meanings and content. His works can be found in private collections in the US, Canada, UK, Germany and Taiwan; as well as in institutions such as the Kharkov Art Museum; Korsaks Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art, Lutsk; White Light Gallery, Kyiv; Triptych ART Gallery, Kyiv; ABC Gallery.
