The artist on the inspiration for the painting:
When spring bursts forth with greenery and the scent of flowers it makes us become someone else for a moment. Perhaps we are stunned by its intensity and freshness, perhaps we let ourselves be swept away by its elusive youthfulness, but isn't it true that when we walk through a May garden something changes in us? It's the blue thoughts that can transform anyone, at least for a moment, into a dreamer prone to romantic elation. This is because the beauty of spring appears not only in gardens and park avenues. It is in each of us, in our souls and hearts, which bloom with the lilac blossoms.
The artist says of her work:
"My paintings consist of emotions, they are a reflection of my life full of admiration for the beauty of nature, people, the world around us, but also downfalls, helplessness and dramatic events. I believe that everyone has some kind of super power, and I believe that mine is to share with others my energy, strength, admiration for the beauty of life and the world, which with their beauty invariably make me amazed, as well as my understanding in all the darkness and pain that sometimes accompanies us. I also create because my paintings are the only way I know of to pour out the vastness of the emotions and visions swirling inside me. It is the only vehicle for everything I have to convey. It is one of the most important things in my life."
