Graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. The artist describes himself as a painter of mood - he is an observer of nature with a propensity for contemplation, reflection, and the intimacy of the gaze, which he transforms into the subjects of his works, often expanding them into cycles, exemplified by cinemas or landscapes. The artist points to Maurice Utrill, James Whistler and Edward Hopper as his masters. The most common motifs he takes up in his work are the urban landscape and water - the artist depicts coastlines, lake sheets, focusing on their expressive depiction. Saturated with light and color, the landscapes are mostly uninhabited - Bukowski puts nature at the center of his interest, and includes man only as a statistic.
