Piotr Gola, born in 1985, is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. His passion is art, and he creates mainly in oil technique, although he is equally eager to experiment with digital techniques. His extensive artistic output includes more than 200 painted pictures and dozens of graphic works.
Even as a young boy, Piotr met Wojciech Siudmak, from whom he received valuable art tips, which he continues to use in his painting. He often draws inspiration for his work from films, music and other art forms. Clips by the band Tool, Neo's awakening in the movie The Matrix, the sculptures of Grzegorz Gwiazda or the murals of the Etam_Cru Group have had a strong influence on his work. Both Polish and foreign art fascinates and shapes him.
In his works, Piotr often uses symbols that make up a logically designed whole, hiding a hidden meaning. Making sure that the works speak to the viewer, telling about life, people, experiences and processes, the artist pays great attention to the names of his works. The title of a work is often a clue to reading the meaning and significance contained in the painting.
Piotr Gola defines his art as a world of thoughts, dreams and fantasies. His works are a record of his visions and ideas, drawn from life and observations of himself and other people. His work oscillates between symbolism, surrealism, abstractionism and expressionism. Over time, his art has evolved from dark visions to modern and colorful.
Piotr Gola's works are in private collections both at home and abroad. He cooperates with more than a dozen online and stationary galleries. His works have been exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions, and have participated in many Young Art auctions.
