Biography
Painter, muralist, creator of animated films. He was one of the most recognized mural and street art creators of the younger generation, whose artistic footprint permanently enriched the space of many cities in Poland and around the world. He was the first Polish artist to have a solo exhibition at the iconic London gallery of Steve Lazarides - Banksy's collaborator, curator and promoter. A 2005 graduate of the Leon Wyczółkowski High School of Fine Arts in Bydgoszcz, he graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Multimedia Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (specializing in animation), where he later also worked as an assistant. He is appreciated not only for his large-format painting, but also for his animated films. His body of work included three short films: 2008's Fugu, 2009's Virus and 2010's Gallery, for which he received second prize at the Animocje Animation Film Festival in Bydgoszcz (2012) and the award for best animated film at the Curta Cinema International Short Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro (2011). Robert Proch's work has been presented in dozens of group and solo exhibitions in Europe and the USA.
