"Ryszard Dudek," writes Piotr Rędziniak, a painter and art critic from Rzeszow, "is one of the most frequently awarded, honored painters in our environment. His paintings have found recognition in various juries at home and abroad. Paintings are in private collections and museums of Poland and the world. /.../
Keeping in mind the principles of his master Czeslaw Rzepinski, building the whole canvas with color and form, he transforms the subject into an alphabet of geometric figures, signs, shapes created by himself, which give a surprising and abstract finale. And here he seems to be formally, in the way he builds up the painting, an heir to the thoughts of the Cubists, who transformed objects, interiors and even human silhouettes into geometric figures - components of the essence of the object's form. Thus, in his painting, color is the second component of the picture, which on the one hand arranges its drama, and on the other hand has the complementary role of filling the whole picture with an emotional element. Color, the color range used, the color contrasts juxtaposed, ultimately determine this unique magical power of his paintings. /.../ Therefore, it is impossible to pass indifferently in front of his paintings. Some may annoy and repel. Others they delight , emotionally and aesthetically absorb. In both cases it is the case that the paintings of Ryszard Dudek always contain a huge expression, an atomic dose of emotions, sometimes the creative effort and enthusiasm that accompanies the artist when painting."
