The sheets for the polychrome were created at the request of Rev. Canon Ludwik Pawel Muszynski, then pastor of the Holy Trinity parish in Bogdanov. On August 10, 1948, a contract was drawn up, in which Stanislaw Borysowski and Eugeniusz Geppert undertook to cooperate on the creation of polychromies to decorate the interior of the church. The annex to the contract clearly specified the principal's expectations regarding the decoration of individual rooms - an order was placed for polychromes for the chapels of the Virgin Mary, Baptismal and Burial chapels, for the recess of the Heart of Jesus altar, as well as the main, side and transverse aisles. The polychromes were to feature scenes from the lives of the Virgin Mary and Christ, including the Stations of the Cross, as well as images of St. Francis, St. Paul, St. John Nepomucene and depictions of Angels.
