Significant for Stefan Gierowski's work are works made
on paper, watercolors. The painter does not treat them as sketches for paintings
oil paintings. They are separate entities in his creative search.
Why this "sentiment" for water colors? Because of their translucency, luminosity,
the possibility of obtaining a more perfect gradation of color tones, so
essential in art based in its assumptions on the influence of color.
They also cannot be denied greater spontaneity and joy of creation
compared to the meticulously developed canvases.
