Biography
Tadeusz Markiewicz studied in 1959-65 at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, graduating from the Department of Sculpture in 1965 in the studio of F. Strynkiewicz. He was involved in monumental and intimate sculpture in wood and ceramics. He took part in numerous group exhibitions, including the 1st National Exhibition of the Sculpture of the Young in 1966 in Cracow, in 1967 at the 5th Bienale of the Young in Paris, in 1972 at the BWA in Sopot. He is the author of the monument to those executed in 1944 in Hajnówka, the monument to the Three Eagles in Bialowieza, the Polish Mother in Lodz.
