In 1989, the artist began one of his most important series of paintings
"Diaries," for which in 1990 he received the Grand Prix of the XXII International
Festival of Painting in Cagnes-sur-Mer. The series is an incredibly
private and even intimate record of the passage of time. Important are the treatments
formal, texture and uniformity of composition, which give the works a
monumental character, intensified by the very concept of counting the passing of
time. Despite the repetition of elements, each work is unique.
