Zbigniew Gonciarz, Warsaw.
He received his diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1984.
He began his painting studies in the studio of Prof. Jacek Sempoliński in 1979 and graduated in the studio of Prof. Jan Dziędziora in 1984. In 1985 he received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art.
He is the author of the concept and design of the JP2 papal car, realized for the pilgrimage of Pope John Paul II to Poland. He was involved in body design, as well as graphic design and interior design.
Painting is a field that he has practiced in parallel all the time. Currently, he is engaged in easel painting on a daily basis in his studio in the center of Warsaw. In the area of interest of the artist, the main place is occupied by the human being [mostly of the female kind] with his individual human experience, hence the themes: the human figure, the nude, the portrait [portrait company]. Somewhere between the narrative and the figure there is a place for the so-called true image, it will always be abstract expressionism.
And also sometimes a unique car, treated more like a refined portrait than a still life.
Works find a place in collections in the country and in Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, the USA, among others.
