"Poliforms VI" belongs to the compositions that are multifaceted, allowing for different ways of presentation. The offered painting has been exhibited many times, including at Warsaw's Zachęta Gallery in 1971. At the time, Zofia Artymowska, who takes care of arranging her own exhibitions, explained: "The paintings shown in this exhibition are a selection of works from 1967-1970 with seemingly different assumptions, but which are further attempts to define space. Among them are works with various display possibilities, as well as segmented paintings that can, through a combination of arrangements, create ever new expressions of shaping space."
In the early 1980s, summing up a decade of work on "Polyforms," the artist distinguished two directions of exploration: the first, "mechanical," referring to "mechanized, industrial space," and the second, referring to "space creating a kind of legible interior." The subtitle of the painting - "Interior II" - indicates that the composition implements industrial aesthetics, suggesting not only the three-dimensionality of the mechanical elements, but also the depth of the interior.
