A very rare type of Wroclaw denarius from a distinctive issue with the head of St. John and the monogram SI (Sanctus Iohannes) forming a cross.
Issued by Boleslaw the Wry-mouthed as Silesian prince, dated 1097-1107.
Rare variant of the stamp with a cross with uncommon ends (bifurcating), all around the legend SIOHANNES on the obverse.

A beautiful piece, despite scarcity, with natural luster, great freshness of the sheet, very sharp relief.
Definitely recommended - for the best collections.
