A beautifully preserved piece with natural mint luster and gently overlapping satin patina. Superbly preserved details.

An increasingly rare item in mint condition.

New design introduced by decree of November 30, 1932 with a distinctive representation identified with Polonia. Its designer - Antoni Madeyski - based its image on the facial features of Janina Zoltowska - a well-known interwar writer.

Obverse: state eagle of the 1927 pattern, in the rim an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 5 ZŁOTY 5, under the eagle's tail the year 1932. Under the eagle's paw the Kościesza coat of arms - the mark of the State Mint in Warsaw.

Reverse: head of a woman (Polonia) in a headlock to the left, surrounded by ears of grain

Edge: serrated

Coin minted in .750 silver with diameter: 28.0 mm and a prescribed weight of 11 g.

The denomination introduced by the reform of January 11, 1924 has been minted in this pattern since 1932. According to the Presidential Decree of November 5, 1927, these coins could be used to pay debts up to a maximum of 500 zlotys. The coin remained in circulation until November 1939.
