Top Pop (2): this is NGC's finest graded example! Approximately 50,000 examples were made for the 15 sols, of which no more than 20 are known. Nine of these examples are held in public collections: Bank of Canada = 3 copies, British Museum, BnF Paris, ANS, Colonial Williamsbourg Foundation, Smithsonian Institution, Henry P. Kendall Foundation. Other examples have appeared in various sales: Garrett (1980), Chapman's (1908), Partrick (2021), John J. Ford (2006), Harald Salvesen (1988) and MDC 4 (2018), Schulman (1997) and Gadoury (2019). Our example comes from an Argenor sale in April 2000, no. 379 and Long Island collection.
