A nice well minted piece in circulating condition.

The second vintage of the Lithuanian quatrefoils, a denomination introduced in 1565.
Inscribed variety L / LITV.

Recommended.

Obverse: in the pearl border a royal bust wearing a crown and plate armor, to the right, in the outer border a legend with punctuation in the form of triplets: SIGIS AVG D G REX PO MAG DVX L;

Reverse: crowned coats of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Pillars of Gediminas - the historical coat of arms of Lithuania - in the pearl rim; on the sides of the crown, trilaterals; under the shields, the denomination IIII; in the outer rim, a legend punctuated with trilaterals: COIN MAGNI DVCAT LITV 1566;
