Lot description Show orginal version
Grade: NGC MS62
Certificate: NGC 6641444-010
Reference: Shatalin/Grendel GD16a-3 (R); Kopicki 7490 (R1)

A variation of the bust with an orifice.
Obverse obverse legend ending with a colon and rosette.

An exquisite mint piece with strong luster over the entire surface.
The excellent minting quality is evidenced by the fully legible initials SA and the date of issue located at the bottom of the reverse.
A coin in NGC slab with a high grade of MS62, although in our opinion the grade should be one notch higher.
Rare in this state of preservation.

Definitely for the best collections.

Obverse: coat of arms of Gdansk in a cartouche supported by two lions, in a rope border, in the border a legend beginning with a shield with a bear paw sign and a mint mark: MONETA-CIVIT:GEDANENSIS-1616+
Reverse: bust of Sigismund III Vasa wearing a crown to the right, with the Order of the Golden Fleece on a chain with 5 flints, wearing armor and a cloak studded with jewels, with a tubular orifice, in a rope border, surrounded by a legend beginning with the mint mark: SIGIS:III-D:G:REX-POL:M:D:L:R:PRVS:+
