Agnieszka Ewa Stobnicka (born 1968) - graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. Painter, art teacher and instructor of occupational therapies. For many years she worked at the Art and Youth Gallery in Plock. She co-created and was active in leading open-air art events and organizing exhibitions at the OTO JA Art Association. She gained experience at the ARTEmi Art Studio, combining glass with stones in various art projects.
One can see traces of inspiration in her from artists such as Henri Rousseau, Marc Chagall, Paul Gauguin and Giorgio Chirico. It is revealed in her exploration of colors, use of symbolism and surreal compositions creating a mixture of magic with a pinch of poetry but her paintings are primarily her own view of the world through rose-colored glasses, a reflection of her fanciful dreams and daydreams, which she is happy to share with others.
The artist about the painting:
"On the canvas there is a scene full of magic. A girl gazing into the distance leans against the sill of an open window. In her hand she holds a golden string at the end of which there is a goldfish swimming in the sky .Is the goldfish the embodiment of the girl's secret dreams? Or perhaps it reveals her longing for the unknown, the impossible? What does the girl long for ? Whatis beyond the reach of her eyes? Where do her thoughts flow ?
