Grzegorz Wróbel was born in Warsaw in 1983. Here he took up his key studies at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 2002. Although he had been interested in drawing and painting since childhood, it was not until his studies that he developed his skills. That's when he learned the technique of watercolor and has been exploring its secrets ever since. He decided to transfer his fascination with water colors to others, which he realizes by teaching at a private drawing school. He finds great satisfaction when he sees that he can teach such a difficult technique to others and how much fun it gives them. In watercolor he looks mainly for light and that is what he is able to "paint" various things. His watercolor work was significantly influenced by architecture. It is she who taught him aesthetics, approach to framing works and choice of subjects. That's why most of his watercolors feature architecture, especially architecture that he himself has visited and explored. Most of the works are remembered impressions, colors and light from the trips he took. He has thus visited Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Brno, Vienna or Sicily. He very often creates from nature, and paints other works from his own photographs. However, he has to share his love of watercolor with architecture, as he is an active architect.
