The artist's work is characterized by expressiveness of expression and can be attributed to the trend of young figurativism. In a parsimonious but imagination-stimulating way, Swigulski builds his version of experienced reality.
Born in 1977 in Lodz, Poland. Studied at the Visual Education Department of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 2006 he defended his diploma in painting and drawing with honors. During his studies he received a scholarship from the Danish government. In 1997-2001 he also studied philosophy and cultural studies at the University of Lodz.
He was twice listed in the Compass of Young Art - a ranking of artists published in the pages of Rzeczpospolita. Since 2000, he has regularly exhibited works in public and private art galleries throughout Poland. He has already had more than twenty solo exhibitions, and in 2014 he presented his art at a group exhibition in Amsterdam. He regularly collaborates with major commercial galleries in the country, and his works are in private collections in Poland, England and Switzerland.
