Biography
Works mainly in ceramics and photography. In 2014 he graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In the same year, he received a Scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education. In 2015, he began doctoral studies at the Pedagogical University of Cracow. Currently with an open doctoral dissertation. In addition to his academic activities, he is also involved in the work of the association "Ceramics Without Borders", of which he is a co-founder, and the art group "Vera Icon", which brings together Christian artists. Jakub Niewdana has participated in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Since 2014 he has been running his own ceramics studio. His works are in numerous collections at home and abroad. In 2018, his solo exhibition took place at Grodzka Art Gallery in Cracow. The works presented there were from the animalistic series "Safari," inspired by distant travels. Animals created in Jakub Niewdana's studio invariably delight with richness of color and mastery of synthesis of form. The artist prepares each of the developed models in many color versions. In his works he often combines two passions - photography and ceramics.
