Julia Janowska was born in 1997 in Cracow, Poland. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Design, and in 2022 she became a graduate of the Master's degree in Art & Design. She is currently a student of Painting at the Pedagogical University of Cracow.
In painting, she refers to art trends, i.e. Tashism, Informel, Abstract Expressionism. Significant in her paintings is the abstract and expressionist treatment of painting space as a fluid field evenly distributed over the entire surface of a large composition. In these works, large scale, thick and thin layers of color, expressive potential of contrasts and color modulations create the impression of a deep painting space, absorbing the viewer into a moving form.
