Magdalena KUREK (b. 1979), Santorini - a magical place forever, 2023

Born in 1979, a graduate of the High School of Arts in Katowice and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. She received a diploma in painting inspired by archaeological excavations in France in 2005, an annex in graphic design and multimedia and Postgraduate Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, while in 2012 she received a diploma from Prof. A. Witkowski and Prof. M. Komorowska. She is a two-time scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2008 and 2012. In addition to painting, she is involved in stage design and animation of cultural and social activities. She has had solo exhibitions at, among others, Teatr Współczesny and Teatr Polski in Wroclaw, Teatr Rozrywki in Chorzow. She has collaborated with Anna Augustynowicz, Krzysztof Nazar, and Marek Braun. She works as a stage designer, animator of cultural and social activities. She is the author of projects such as "Colorful Fantasies" with young people from Educational Centers and "With Art to You". The artist's works are in theaters, private collections in Poland and abroad. She has participated in many individual and group exhibitions.
