The PopArtPrincess (Maja Aleksandra Gackowska) born 1992.
In her work she pays homage to Pop Culture and its creators. She is great with color selection and composition. Trained as a fashion designer, she worked in the industry for 5 years before finally redirecting her experience to creating a series of pop-art paintings.
The artist's media are acrylic paints and mixed media of all sorts. Beads, transparencies and holographic materials, so-called "drawer materials" that she collected for years to finally become part of her works. In her works she often uses the so-called "Recycled Art" using materials that if not used would be thrown away. The artist gives them a second life. In the works of the "Consumerism XXI" series, the artist refers to the created "culture of desire"; without any specific object of it, but the phenomenon itself. She does not criticize, but corresponds with it.
To her credit, she has worked in three different art galleries, running and promoting artists, selling their art which allowed her to know the business, from the inside." She is currently focusing on developing her own art career, which, among other things, focuses on so-called Art Branding - promoting various companies through art. The artist creates personalized images, using logos, brand-specific colors and forms. She is the originator and participant of the charity project "Art Loves Design- The Art of Recycling."
