Margarita Stashulonok - graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Fine Arts with a specialization in monumental and decorative art, gaining skills in the techniques of stained glass, mosaic, fresco, sgraffito, drawing, oil and tempera painting. After two years of assistantship, she received a position as a painting instructor at the same university. Since 2010 she has been living in Poland.Member of the Association of Polish Artists.Favorite technique- egg tempera on board.Winner of the Polish Minister of Culture Gaude Polonia Scholarship, Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdansk, Creative Scholarship of the Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship, Creative Scholarship of the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sports. Always on the go. Participant of artistic residencies at Instituto Sacatar in Brazilia and Can Serrat in Spain. Author of about 20 individual exhibitions. She has participated in group exhibitions in Uzbekistan, USA, Australia, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Belarus. The artist's works can be found at Galeria Centrum in Krakow, in the collection of Instituto Sacatar in Brazil and in private collections in Poland and around the world.In her paintings she constructs a complex pattern of the world based on visual experiences, memories, stories and art of different eras.The idea for the painting was born during an artist residency at Instituto Sacatar in Brazil on the island of Itaparika. It tells the story of the region's past, the former Dutch colony and the beautiful nature of the exotic island.
