Biography
Austrian painter and composer. He painted mainly landscapes, genre scenes of village life and marinas. At the age of nineteen, he became a student at the Royal Music School in Munich, where he studied until 1881 with professors Josef Gabriel Rheinberger and Max Hieber. After leaving school, he worked as a music teacher until 1883, then began studying painting with Wilhelm von Diez at the Munich Academy.
