In 1900 he settled in Rome, from where he made numerous artistic trips, including to Egypt. In 1908 he returned to Lviv, where he settled permanently. There he received a commission to decorate the interiors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was involved in stage design and served as stage inspector at the City Theater.
