Studiował we Lwowie, a następnie w krakowskiej ASP. Naukę kontynuował w Rzymie w Accademia di Belle Arti. Po powrocie do Polski osiadł w Zakopanem, gdzie spędził resztę życia. Malował tatrzańskie pejzaże a także portrety i martwą naturę.
